Bus Franchising is one of the most ambitious transport initiatives ever undertaken in our region. It will deliver a simpler, more reliable, and more affordable bus network that better connects people to jobs, education, and opportunity.
The WMCA are at a pivotal stage in shaping the future of bus franchising in the West Midlands, and we’re looking for skilled and proactive Business Analysts, for a period of 12-months, to play a key role in this transformation.

Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders across a wide range of functions, you will gather requirements, facilitate discussions, and translate business needs into practical, deliverable solutions.
You will support a broad range of areas including commercial, customer experience, franchise provision, and Digital and Data and be confident leading workshops, engaging stakeholders, and driving conversations that help shape decisions that move the programme forward.
This role goes beyond traditional business analysis — it’s about contributing to a major, region-wide transformation that hasn’t been delivered at this scale within WMCA before. You’ll play an active role in supporting the successful delivery of the Bus Franchise Programme, helping to design and embed the processes and systems that will underpin bus franchising across the West Midlands.
