In this role, you will play a crucial part in the coordination of our programme management, supporting key internal correspondence, driving day to day planning against critical milestones. You will also be responsible for critical stakeholder engagement and reporting, ensuring that all parties are informed and aware of the WMCA Business Continuity Management System.

What you will be doing.
- Programme Coordination: Coordinate the delivery and continuous testing of our Resilience, Response and Recovery programme, support Business Continuity planning, assist in training sessions and maintain accurate Business Impact Assessments (BIAs).
- Incident Response: Ensure WMCA can respond and recover from incidents through active team collaboration, participate in post-incident reviews to enhance our Business Continuity Management System and assist in horizon scanning and forward planning for potential issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support team communications, prepare reports for key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Assist with employee engagement sessions to discuss Resilience, Response, and Recovery plans.
- Operational Support: Coordinate key programme activities, ensure compliance with governance processes and maintain the WMCA-wide Business Continuity Management System.
- Documentation Management: Ensure all Business Continuity documentation is auditable and up to date.
- Training and Awareness: Input into the development of training programmes and coordinate engagement activities, staying informed of relevant legislation and standard and escalating changes impacting Business Continuity or Emergency Planning.
- Crisis Communications: Support crisis communications and ensure effective notification to on-call staff and executives.
What’s essential.
- Proven experience in a coordination role, preferably as part of a project team / within a programme / project environment.
- Experience of continuous improvement and identifying where efficiencies can be made.
- Sound working knowledge and good understanding of the corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent analytical skills, able to review information and determining the best approach.
Location.
The location for this role is 16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3SD. We currently operate a hybrid working model, with at least 2 days a week spent in the office. However, as this post is new with a new team, more office presence may be required when starting the role.
