As a Digital Business Analyst at the WMCA, you’ll play a key role in helping us turn business needs into practical, effective technology and digital solutions. You’ll be the person who can speak both the language of the business and technology – listening to colleagues, understanding their challenges and translating their needs into solutions that make a genuine difference.
Working with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, you’ll get under the skin of how things work today, identifying pain points, inefficiencies and opportunities to do things differently. You’ll map processes, gather and translate requirements, and work collaboratively with colleagues to design simpler, smarter and more joined-up ways of working.
You’ll be part of our brand-new Product team, working closely with Solution Architects, Developers and colleagues across Technology & Insight, as well as teams across the WMCA. You’ll contribute to exciting programmes and projects, including Bus Franchising and our website transformation, giving you the opportunity to work on initiatives that have a real impact on our organisation and the communities we serve.
We’re looking for a people-focused, collaborative and delivery-oriented Business Analyst who is confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and can hit the ground running.
Please note that this is a 24-month fixed term contract.

- Take responsibility for overseeing and enhancing change evaluation processes.
- Oversee supplier delivery against business requirements.
- Ensure organisational requirements are understood and delivered by suppliers.
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure requirements are traceable throughout the delivery lifecycle.

- Map as-is and to-be processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency.
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements through stakeholder engagement and facilitated workshops.
- Work across the organisation to understand current processes, systems, services and ways of working.
