We are seeking Administrator to provide a range of high-quality administrative support across our Strategy, Economy and Net Zero Directorate. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of directorate activities and helping the team to achieve it’s aims.
This role will be offered on a 12-month fixed term contract.
What will you be doing?
- Provide comprehensive administrative support for team activities, projects, and programmes, including notetaking during meetings
- Establish and maintain efficient systems for smooth directorate operations, overseeing project delivery and providing monitoring and reporting
- Manage directorate-wide email accounts and inboxes
- Facilitate onboarding for new team members, managing IT setup, providing tours, and basic training
- Offer finance support, managing Business World aspects, processing invoices promptly, and liaising with contractors
- Manage guests and visitors, handling reception duties and guiding them to meeting rooms
- Establish and maintain shared drives for the directorate
- Coordinate diaries, set up meetings, handle travel arrangements, and compile reports
- Provide event support, handling arrangements and coordination
- Be an active member of the SENZ team, providing excellent customer service
- Support team members in the delivery of internal and external activities
- Work flexibly and proactively to meet administrative needs, ensuring smooth directorate operations
About you
- Proven experience as an administrator with the ability to work independently
- Experience in coordinating, preparing, and supporting meetings
- Strong attention to detail, observational, analytical, and organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders

- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications, including writing and editing meeting notes, reports, and presentations

We advertise salary ranges for job roles, with new appointments typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, where higher skill levels or experience are applicable, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate. Location and Working Pattern - what you can expect.
The location for this role is Summer Lane, Birmingham. It is expected that you are able to split your time between the office and working remotely, with at least 2-3 days spent in the office.
