Senior Project Delivery Lead

As Senior Project Delivery Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering the end-to-end implementation of our PAYG scheme. Working within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, you will oversee, working closely with cross-functional teams, technology partners, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery. You will have a passion for innovation and delivering customer-focused solutions with a flexible and proactive ‘can do’ attitude.

Please note, this role is a 2-year fixed term contract.

What you will be doing.

  • Provide project management leadership for the extension of the Pay-As-You-Go scheme within the Swift Programme.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the requirements defined within the approved project control documents.
  • Work with the Project Sponsor, to lead project development stages, identify and define the project objectives.
  • Manage the project budget, forecasting and monitoring the budget throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the selection, recruitment and appointment of consultants and/or specialists.
  • Identify and define project objectives.
  • Ensure detailed project plans are produced and monitored.
  • Manage and engage with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for identifying and ensuring the appropriate resources are in place to deliver project objectives.
  • Prepare reports/briefing notes for senior management, elected members, WMCA committees, Programme Boards, as appropriate to report of the status of any projects.

What’s essential.

  • Proven track record in delivery of projects to time and budget.
  • Qualification in a Project Management Methodology (such as APM or Prince 2).
  • Ability to effectively manage/oversee multiple projects prioritising works as appropriate.
  • Proactive risk management.
  • Ability to manage conflict.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining project performance.
  • Excellent analytical skill.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Location. 
The location for this role is 16 Summer Lane with at least 1 day a week spent in the office.

We advertise salary ranges, with new appointments typically starting at the lowest salary point. In exceptional cases, the salary point may be adjusted to secure the best candidate.
